Basement & Crawl Space Waterproofing in Western Colorado

We install interior and exterior waterproofing systems that keep basements, crawl spaces, and foundation walls dry — drainage, sump systems, vapor barriers, and exterior water diversion sized to your home and the water source we identify on site.

Water problems we solve

Water intrusion leads to costly damage over time, especially when moisture is allowed to collect around or inside your foundation. We help homeowners across the Roaring Fork Valley and the Grand Valley address recurring water problems at the source.

  • Damp basements and wall or floor seepage
  • Seasonal flooding after rain and snowmelt
  • Crawl space moisture and musty odors
  • Standing water and recurring leaks
  • Poor drainage and grading around the home
  • Foundation cracks letting water through

Interior versus exterior systems

Interior systems manage the water that reaches the home — sub-floor drainage, sump pumps, wall vapor barriers, and dehumidification. They are reliable, work year-round, and can be installed in finished or unfinished spaces.

Exterior systems keep water away from the foundation in the first place through excavation, membranes, footing drains, grading, and downspout and surface-water diversion. A large portion of our waterproofing work is exterior.

Many homes need both. The inspection determines which, and we tell you honestly when a drainage correction outside is all you need.

Why waterproofing matters here

Snowmelt saturates soils fast on the Western Slope, and saturated expansive clay both pushes on foundation walls and finds every crack. Controlling water protects the structure, not just the finishes.

  • Reduced risk of foundation damage
  • Improved indoor comfort and air quality
  • Protection for finished basements and storage
  • Less moisture buildup in crawl spaces

How a waterproofing project runs

  1. 01

    Find the water source

We trace where the water actually comes from — grading, downspouts, a high water table, snowmelt, or a cracked wall — before recommending a system.

  2. 02

    Design the system

You get a written scope and fixed price covering the drainage, sump, vapor barrier, or exterior work the home needs, and nothing it does not.

  3. 03

    Install

Interior drainage is set below the slab and tied to a sump discharge; exterior work involves excavation, membrane, footing drain, and corrected grading.

  4. 04

    Verify and clean up

We water-test the system, restore the site, and hand over your warranty along with maintenance guidance for the pump and discharge line.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need interior or exterior waterproofing?
It depends on where the water comes from. Surface water and drainage problems are usually solved outside; groundwater and hydrostatic pressure are usually managed inside. We inspect first and recommend only what the home needs.
Can you waterproof a finished basement?
Yes. Interior drainage systems can be installed with limited demolition along the perimeter and the finishes restored afterward.
Will waterproofing stop mold?
Removing the moisture source is the only lasting way to control basement and crawl space mold. We pair moisture control with treatment where mold is already present.
What happens if the power goes out during a storm?
That is when most basements flood, so we recommend a battery backup sump system on homes with a real water history. It keeps pumping through an outage or a primary pump failure.
How long does a waterproofing installation take?
Most interior drainage and sump installations are finished in one to three days. Exterior excavation work depends on depth, access, and weather.
Is waterproofing covered by a warranty?
Yes. Systems carry a written product warranty and our workmanship is guaranteed for at least five years.
